Conference recording from the Symposium presented by Denise Gibbs, Director, Alabama Scottish Rite Foundation Learning Centers, Birmingham; President, Alabama Branch of the International Dyslexia Association, Huntsville
RTI equips educators to make timely, data-driven decisions about continuing, modifying or discontinuing interventions to maximize student outcomes. But what happens “after” RTI? As students with SLD transition from general ed interventions to more intensive special ed services and interventions, you and your staff need to continue the same decision-making process to ensure program effectiveness. Using detailed examples from the field, this symposium will emphasize the importance of setting intervention goals and implementing an efficient, data-driven decision-making process for general and special ed interventions. You’ll also gain insights regarding how special ed services for students with SLD are likely to evolve as a result of RTI implementation.
The 32nd National Institute was held May 1-4, 2011 in Phoenix.
