Safely Navigating the Reasonable Accommodation Process

Recent cases have some disability service providers questioning their processes and procedures for accommodations. In this 90-minute audio conference, Jeanne Kincaid, an attorney who represents colleges and universities on issues concerning both students and employees with disabilities, discusses how the courts and OCR have ruled and what the decisions mean for you. This session: provides a close look into the "interactive process"; identifies the traps that college administrators need to be aware of; advises how to best handle poor documentation; and how to handle international travel and dismissal. Plus, you find out what to do when a student's request for accommodation goes too far. This audiocassette will be available one month after the live audio conference held Oct. 8, 2003. Printed materials included.

(2003. Audiotape. 90 min.)
